The 18370840xx is an enhanced small form factor (SFP28) optical module supporting transmission at 25 Gb/s over 10 kilometers of single mode fiber. Supporting 25G CPRI 10 and Ethernet standards, this new module is ideally suited to handle the increasing bandwidth demands of next generation wireless, datacenter, and storage area networks. DDM functionality (alarm and warning features) are integrated into the design via an I2C serial interface compatible with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) SFF-8472.
The transceiver supports data rates ranging from 10Gbps to 25Gbps. It provides an excellent solution for data transmission at 1270nm/1310nm&1270nm/1330nm over up to 10km single mode fiber. The low power consumption and excellent EMI performance allow system design with high port density. The product is RoHS compliant and is designed and tested in accordance with industry safety standards. The transceiver is Class 1 Laser product per U.S. FDA/CDRH and international IEC-60825 standards.
The 18370840xx transceiver fits inside of the standard SFP28 connector, with hot plug capability. This allows the system designer to make configuration changes or maintenance by simply plugging in different modules without having to open or power down the host system. The transmitter and receiver DATA interfaces are internally AC-coupled. LV-TTL Transmitter Disable control input and Loss of Signal (LOS) output interfaces are also provided.
The transceiver has a bail-type latch, offering an easy and convenient way to release the modules from the host card. The latch is compliant with the SFP28 MSA.
The transceiver operates from a single +3.3V power supply over an operating case temperature range of up to -5°C to +70°C, -5°C to +85°C or -40°C to +85°C. The housing is made of metal for EMI immunity.
