1310nm Dual-rate 10G/25G SFP28 LR Transceiver, TPP1E2JLRC000E3G

The TPP1E2JLRC000E3G is an enhanced small form factor (SFP28) optical module supporting transmission at 25 Gb/s over 10 kilometers of single mode fiber. This new module is ideally suited to handle the increasing bandwidth demands of next generation datacenter networking needs.

Using embedded dual 25G Tx and Rx CDRs and high performance optical components, the module is an excellent transceiver solution for customers who require more bandwidth and a seamless upgrade path from SFP+. The low power consumption and excellent EMI performance allow system design with high port density. The product is RoHS compliant and is designed and tested in accordance with industry safety standards. The transceiver is Class 1 Laser product per U.S. FDA/CDRH and international IEC-60825 standards.

In addition to 25G mode, this module can operate in 10G Ethernet mode where the module will be fully compliant to all 10G Ethernet (IEEE 10GBASE-LR) requirements. DDM functionality (alarm and warning features) are integrated into the design via an I2C serial interface compatible with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) SFF-8472.

The TPP1E2JLRC000E3G transceiver fits inside of the standard SFP28 connector and cage, with hot plug capability. This allows the system designer to make configuration changes or maintenance by simply plugging in different modules without having to open or power down the host system. The transmitter and receiver DATA interfaces are internally AC-coupled. LV-TTL Transmitter Disable control input and Loss of Signal (LOS) output interfaces are also provided.

The transceiver has a bail-type latch, offering an easy and convenient way to release the modules from the host card. The latch is compliant with the SFP28 MSA.

The transceiver operates from a single +3.3V power supply over an operating case temperature range of up to -5°C to +70°C (Commercial). The housing is made of metal for EMI immunity.
